||Hotel with the best view in Pokhara
Change is the only constant in our lives. It is either for the good or bad. It is the cause of modernity. Like every other organization that believes in immaculate customer delight we too have gone through changes at our Retreat.
Moving ahead and shaping ourselves with modern times, we at Raniban have had various phases of development.
However, our core philosophy of being an eco-friendly and a socially responsible retreat has always been intact.
Initiation From The Dome
Raniban had a pagoda shaped structure before initiation. The dome shaped structure consisted of 4 rooms in a duplex structure with basic amenities and wooden furniture. The view from the dome shaped structure was nothing short of a dream. The area around the structure was simple and green all around with an open view of the Annapurna range, Phewa lake, Pokhara valley and the world peace stupa.
Though we never operated these rooms yet this was the stem of our initiation before becoming operational to our guests.
A Step Closer To Nature
The first phase of our operations involved tented rooms. The rooms were cozy and comfortable and gave a theme much more inclined towards nature. We started our in-house restaurant as well during this phase of operations. The restaurant was constructed in place of the Pagoda shaped structure supporting 4 rooms.
We operated 10 tented rooms and also initiated our sunset rooms in this phase which was a west facing concrete structure and provided views of the west side grasslands, the Annapurna range and of course a majestic sunset from the verandah attached with the room.
The Sunset rooms also had a resting verandah which was ideal for reading books and sipping coffees in the quiet, enjoying the surreal sunset.
After 5 years of operations we have become a 14 room boutique property. Our current rooms run under 4 banners i.e. Mountain View Rooms, Sunrise Rooms, Sunset Rooms and Deluxe Rooms. All the rooms have cottage styled structure with a perfect blend of modern and traditional touch to them.
The Mountain View Rooms have a shared private garden and are mountain facing giving views of the entire Annapurna Range, Phewa Lake, Pokhara Valley and the World Peace Pagoda.
The Sunrise Rooms are east facing and have a private balcony to rest and enjoy the sunrise while sipping a cup of our famous masala tea. We also get the whole panoramic views of the Annapurna Range, Phewa Lake, Pokhara Valley and the World Peace Pagoda.
The Sunset Rooms are west facing with views of the grasslands, the Annapurna range and of course the Sunset from the attached verandah.
The Deluxe Rooms are front and west facing right behind the Mountain View Rooms.
We have also made major renovations to our Restaurants and the Sunset Rooms very recently.
The Raniban Family
Although we have gone through various phases of development and changes, Raniban has always been an eco-friendly and a socially responsible property.
The entire retreat has always run on solar power. The electricity and the hot water we get in the hotel proximities are from the solar panels that we have installed at our place. During all phases of operations more than 90% of our staff have been hired from the neighboring villages.
We will probably go through many stages of development in the upcoming years to provide immaculate customer service to our guests, but one thing we can assure and are immensely proud of is that no matter how inclined towards modern times we get, our core philosophies will always be towards being an eco-friendly and a socially responsible retreat.
The Raniban Family firmly believes that “you must be the change you wish to see in the world.”
