Nature
Perhaps the best nature activity is getting here! Take a short ride across the calm waters of Phewa Lake and trek slowly up the dense Raniban, the Queen’s Jungle. Watch out for Barking Deer, Langur and Jungle Chickens as you ascend to the Vishwa Shanti, The World Peace Stupa. We also assist with providing guided hikes around Raniban Retreat. A quick 30 mins hike till the World Peace Stupa or the recently built Pumdikot Shiva Statue makes for a great pre or post meal activity. Guests can also engage in bird watching and butterfly watching at the retreat or just sit down, relax and enjoy amidst nature at Raniban.
Wellness
We have recently built an infinity swimming pool that takes center stage at the retreat. Providing stunning panoramic views of the Himalayas, Phewa Lake, and Pokhara valley as its backdrop, our pool is an experience in itself. We are also launching an Ayurvedic spa and focusing on holistic well-being so that our guests can fully unwind and rejuvenate at the Retreat. Our spa launch is scheduled for September 2024.
Culinary
The retreat hosts an in-house diner where majority of the produce is from its own organic herb and vegetable garden. We are open for breakfast from 7 am, and take our last order for dinner at 8:30 pm. Since the majority of our team members are in-house, and the day at the retreat starts pretty early, our restaurant is usually closed by 10 pm. We provide a good mix of multi-cuisine options at the retreat so that all guests can enjoy. We also have some excellent local dishes if someone wants to try in our local Raniban experience.
