Bidula Trust

Bidula Trust, established in memory of late Mrs. Bidula Shrestha, is a non-profit, non-political, and non-government organization dedicated to raise awareness about cervical cancer and prevention of the disease. It runs free orientation screening of cervical cancer since its establishment in 2011. The Raniban Retreat is a socially and ecologically responsible retreat located near the World Peace Pagoda and has teamed up with the Trust in fight against cancer in Nepal.

Our Team

Empowering Local Communities Through Training

At Raniban, we believe in empowering the local community. Majority of our site team members are people from our surrounding villages with little formal training or education. We provide bi-yearly hospitality training to ensure hospitality standards and guidelines are known and met to all team members. It gives us immense pleasure to see our team members grow into team leaders and have had great success stories from our site.

Solar Powered Retreat

The retreat is fully solar power backed. All necessary appliances have solar back up instilled. We were one of the first companies here to use Gham Power, one of Nepal’s pioneering companies in solar technology.

Sustainability

Natural Spring
Water Source

Fun fact, we have our own spring water reserve. The water we use at the retreat comes from our own natural spring water source, roughly at a distance of around 12 kms from our site. Due to lack of ground water at our site and nearby surrounding, we have had to get our own spring water reserve to supply our retreat and sometimes assist the nearby village and our neighboring hotels.
